- Diploma in Software Engineering
- Duration: 1 year (part-time, 100% online)
- National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level: 8
This Diploma concentrates on software engineering alone. Students complete five 8-week modules over the course of one year. Each module lasts 8-weeks. Exams are online. A thesis is not required for the diploma. The student is not expected to be on-campus. Students are invited to join Orientation online prior to course start (to meet their peers and the academic team).
Progression Option: In 2022/23, a student who has completed the Diploma may progress to second year of the M.Sc.SED. (This progression option is specific to the M.Sc.SED. since the programmes have shared modules. Students with the Diploma cannot transfer to other Masters programmes with those exemptions.)
Note: The M.Sc.SED. programme will undergo a programmatic review in 2022/23. There is a possibility that those progression options will not be available after that programmatic review.
