How to Apply

Applications are closed for the academic year 2021-22. Applications for the academic year 2022-23 are expected to open in April 2022.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and course quotas will be reviewed continuously throughout the application cycle.  Programmes that reach their quota will close to application.  As many courses fill up quickly, you are advised to apply as early as possible, incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

In order to complete your online application you will need to:

(i)  Visit our How to Apply webpage for instructions and guides on how to make your online application.

(ii) Enter your personal details

(iii) Enter your previous qualifications

(iv) Include all relevant work experience

(v) Include names and contact details of 2 referees

(vi) Submit your birth certificate (original or certified copy)

(vii) Submit your supporting documentation;

- Official qualifications and third-level exam results (transcripts) to date: required for all non-NUIG applicants and for NUIG graduates who did not receive their undergraduate degrees from NUI Galway. Applicants who have still to graduate must upload final transcripts on receipt.

- Personal statement: all applicants must enclose a personal statement of approximately 600 words, explaining why you wish to undertake the course, outlining how it fits into your career objectives unless indicated otherwise.  Our Career Development Service has created a helpful booklet to help you write your Personal Statement.

- A current Curriculum Vitae

- English language competency: if applicable, evidence of English language competency. All applicants, whose first language is not English, or who have not been educated through the medium of the English language during their two most recent years of study, must present one of the following qualifications in the English language: IELTS: 6.5 or TOEFL (IBT): 92.

(viii) Pay the application fee (€35)
